Lead Pastor

Pastor Tim has been the Lead Pastor of New Life Church for the past 10 years, and if you spend much time around him, you'll quickly discover what drives him: he loves Jesus, loves people, and loves seeing lives changed through Christ.
Originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina, Pastor Tim attended Heritage Bible College in Dunn, NC. He has a passion for preaching God's Word in a way that's real, practical, and full of faith—and he believes church should be a place where everyone can encounter Jesus, find purpose, and know they belong.
Pastor Tim has been married to his wife, Traci, for 24 years, and they have a son, Isaac. And because apparently one dog wasn't enough, the Suber household also includes Bert, Peewee, and Wallace—three dogs with plenty of personality of their own.
When he's not preaching, leading, or dreaming about what's next for New Life, there's a good chance you'll find him on the mats. Pastor Tim has trained Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for more than 18 years and is a second-degree black belt. So yes, your pastor can pray for you—and probably choke you out.
More than anything, Pastor Tim is passionate about seeing people experience the kind of life change only Jesus can bring. After 10 years of leading New Life, he's more excited than ever about the future.

Care Pastor

Pastor Dylan Anderson has been part of New Life Church for the past eight years, faithfully serving in a variety of ways. He currently serves as Care Pastor, where he has a passion for walking alongside people through some of life’s most difficult seasons. Whether someone is facing the loss of a job, sickness, family or marital challenges, or grief, Dylan provides compassionate care through prayer, home and hospital visits, and individual and family counseling.

A lifelong resident of Tarboro, Dylan was born and raised in the community he still proudly calls home. Go Tarboro Vikings! His love for people and his community is evident not only in his ministry but also in the relationships he has built throughout his life.

Dylan has been married to his wife, Suzanne, for 29 years. Together, they have raised two sons, Caleb and Daniel. They are also blessed with a goddaughter, Lindsay, and enjoy bringing her children—and their grandchildren in every way that matters—to church. Their grandchildren are Jayda and Kyrie.

When Dylan isn't serving at New Life Church or running his business, The Xterminator Pest Control, he enjoys getting the boat on the water and bass fishing with his favorite fishing partner, Suzanne. He continues to take her fishing even though, as the Facebook evidence clearly proves, she is usually the one catching most of the fish!

At the heart of Dylan's ministry is a desire to see people grow deeper in their faith and relationship with Jesus. He believes that as we abide in Christ, we find the healing, freedom, and direction we need to navigate the challenges of life. His desire is to see everyone at New Life Church experience the freedom that comes from abiding in Christ and walking closely with Him.

Executive Director

Brooke Griffin, a Fayetteville, NC native, serves as Executive Director at New Life Church, bringing a lifelong heart for ministry and over two decades of diverse customer service experience. Growing up, church was always at the center of Brooke’s life—whether she was cleaning the building alongside her mom, participating in church productions, or serving at youth camp. Her past career ranges from General Service Manager at a Day Spa, Senior Office Manager in health care, and roles in government contracting, administration, event planning, and gym management. Since joining New Life in 2015, Brooke has applied her deep passion for people and organizational excellence to serve and support the community.

Music has also been central to Brooke's journey since age four. Highlights include performing at National Teen Talent,  opening for Sandi Patty with Voices of the Heart group, and leading kids' choirs at Baywood Pentecostal Holiness Church. Today, she uses those talents to uplift the New Life community. When she’s not scheduling volunteers or leading worship, you can find her making memories with her family. She and her husband, Barry (New Life’s Production Leader), have been married for 10 years, and together with their three-year-old son, Parker, and their two senior fur babies, Sampson and Dalila, they love settling in and enjoying their new home.

Connections Pastor

Jessica Langley Braxton has served on staff at New Life Church since 2017, with a passion for helping people know God and make Him known. She began her pastoral ministry primarily serving in youth ministry, investing deeply in the next generation, and has been given the opportunity to expand her reach and oversee ministries and connections at New Life. She holds a Master’s degree in Teaching from Liberty University and an Associate's degree in Christian Ministry from Holmes Bible College. She spent several years teaching in public education before transitioning to full-time ministry.
With more than 15 years of experience in education, teaching, and pouring into the next generation, Jessica is passionate about creating environments where people can grow in their faith, discover their purpose, and take their next step with God. She has been leading worship for nearly 20 years, a ministry that has given her a deep love for creating opportunities for people to encounter God. She is grateful for each season of ministry and looks forward to following wherever God leads in the seasons ahead.
Jessica is married to Jeremiah, who serves as the drummer at New Life, and together they have four dogs: Sox, Gibby, Xander, and Aggie. Outside of ministry, she enjoys reading mystery novels and traveling with her husband, family, and friends.
Jessica’s greatest desire is to see people encounter God, grow in their relationship with Him, and live their lives in a way that makes Him known.

Worship Director

Brandon Barnes serves as the Worship Director and a keyboardist at New Life Church. He has been part of the New Life family for nearly three years and has a lifelong passion for music and worship.
Brandon began traveling and playing music at the age of 13 and, over the past 20 years, has had the opportunity to use his musical gifts all over the world. Coming from a family with a strong musical background, music has always been a significant part of his life.
His heart is to use his gifts to help create an atmosphere where people can encounter God through worship. Whether leading from the keyboard, working behind the scenes, or developing other musicians, Brandon is passionate about seeing the worship ministry grow and helping others discover and develop the gifts God has placed in them.
Outside of church, Brandon enjoys traveling, recording music, doing studio work, and simply relaxing and spending time with the people he loves.

Next Gen Director

Misty has been with New Lfe since day one which was in 2015. Misty is merries to Brandon and they have a son named Landyn. My love for children started at a young age as I was growing up in church. I want to make an impact on children's lives like I had when I was growing up. It makes her day and heart when one of our kids runs up to her and gives her the biggest hug. Being able to have a positive impact on them and watch them grow makes it so rewartding.
